16 Tips For Preventing Passport ProblemsA visa is a form issued by a visa officer. This form is placed in your original passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Turkey. A visa may be for a single entry, multiple entry, or for transit purposes.

Single entry tourist visa is valid for one year and allows you to stay in Turkey, depending on your passport, up to 3 months and to enter the country only one time.

Multiple entry tourist visa is, depending on your passport, valid for up to five years and allows you to enter Turkey multiple times and you can stay one to three months each time you enter the country.

Transit visa is valid for 3 months and allows you to travel  to another country via Turkey. If the connecting flight to another country is a  short period of time (not requiring overnight stay)  then no visa is required.

  • A valid original US passport (at least valid for the next three months)

  • Valid original US passport (at least valid for the next three months)
  • Non-refundable processing fee of 26 USD in cash or money order for single entry or 87 USD in cash or money order for multiple entry payable to Turkish Consulate General.

  • A completed visa application form
  • A pre-paid or self-stamped return envelope. (Fed Ex, Express, UPS, or some sort of insured/certified mail is highly recommended, as you are sending original passports).
